Introducing GO 601. She's a Motive Power Inc. MP40PH-3C, and hails from Boise, Idaho. She's spent a fair amount of time getting ready for her debut in Toronto, and when she arrives, you'll find her working hard on runs to Milton and along the Lakeshore. Better public transit for Greater Toronto and Hamilton thorough comment, critique and interesting ideas
Greetings. I'm a graduate of Ryerson University's School of Urban and Regional Planning, and my interest in public transportation systems began at a very young age. Over the years, I've developed many ideas on how to improve public transportation in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area, and have been advocating for investment in public transportation, better urban design and more sustainable communities since 2003. I am a writer, advocate and activist, and I have served on the Metrolinx Regional Transportation Plan advisory committee, where I have been able to offer my opinion on transportation policy in the GTHA. On this blog and its companion website, www.gttavisions.com, I will chronicle my observations, travels and visions for public transit in Canada's largest city-region. A beaut from the butte.
GO 600 was the one that did her stint in Pueblo...be on the lookout, there should be 27 in the order (0600-0626).
By the way, I didn't take that picture. It came off of the internet.

It was all a promotional ploy. That engine wasn't even finished, didn't have all the proper equipment required on her, it had to be towed here from Idaho and its gone back now. It's now fall and no sign of any new engines yet. Lies to the public and the media....
It's very rare for a locomotive to be delivered under its own power, but I believe that anything to get people excited about transit is fair game.
